Attorney Charles Blumenfield Moderates Criminal Law Conference

The 36th Annual Conference on Recent Developments in Criminal Law, co-sponsored by Marquette University Law School and the Milwaukee Bar Association, was held on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Attorney Charles Blumenfield served as moderator of this year’s conference.

The conference faculty included Professor Daniel Blinka, State Bar of Wisconsin Ethics Counsel Timothy Pierce, retired Milwaukee County Deputy District Attorney Robert Donohoo, and Attorneys Craig Johnson, Craig Mastantuono, Dennis Melowski and Erich Straub. The speakers reviewed developments in the areas of the criminal law, immigration and ethics, including:

  • Criminal Procedure and Evidence
  • Substantive Criminal Law including Confession issues
  • OWI, Motor Vehicle and Immigration Laws
  • Recent Lawyer Discipline Cases

The program was organized by Marquette University Law School Prof. Thomas J. Hammer, Director of Clinical Education, with the assistance of co-coordinators Stephen Kravit, Robert Donohoo, Martin Kohler and Charles Blumenfield.  Conference proceeds are shared between Marquette Law School and the Milwaukee Bar Association.
